The staff at this hostel are friendly, attentive, and hardworking. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choices and fresh cooking. The beds and dorms were comfortable, with individual fans and cozy duvets. The hostel also offered free tea and coffee stations throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The location was great, within easy walking distance of the night market and main restaurants.

There were several negative aspects to mention. the lack of privacy in the dorms was a problem.

During my stay at Downtown, I was impressed with the convenient location, just a short walk from the bustling night market. The hostel's ability to arrange transport services made it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The included breakfast was a nice touch and added value to the affordable room rate. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and found the privacy provided by the curtains on each bed to be a thoughtful addition.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Luang Prabang for a few days and had a fantastic experience. The staff was polite and the breakfast was made fresh upon request, with plenty of choices. The hostel had ample showers and toilets, so there was never a wait. The non-smoking area in the lobby was a great feature, and they even had a rooftop area for drying clothes. The beds were comfortable and had secure lock boxes. Plus, they offered 24-hour free coffee, tea, and hot water. a great value for money.

Strongly recommend this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond to assist me with planning the rest of my trip. The location is quiet yet close to everything. The bathroom was clean and much nicer than expected. I loved the fan above the bed. I highly recommend this place.

We also appreciated the free wifi throughout the hostel and the hot water in the showers. we had a great stay at Downtown and would highly recommend it!

The common area was also great, with a free pool and multiple relaxing areas. Plus, the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Freshly cooked and plenty of choices. I had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Although the wifi in the room didn't work, it wasn't a big issue for me.

I stayed at a hostel in a great location near the night market. The rooms were clean and comfortable, equipped with working AC, fan, and WiFi. They even provided free water bottles, towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with tour arrangements and transport. There was also a fantastic social space with a pool table. I met so many people from all over the world during my 3-night stay. The manager, Pikachu, was lovely and accommodating, always wearing a smile and ensuring the best experience for guests.

downtown hostel in luang prabang exceeded my expectations during my recent stay. the staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond for their guests. the free breakfast was outstanding, with a variety of options and fresh fruits. the location was great and the rooms were kept clean.

I particularly loved the delicious fruit snack and coffee upon arrival. The location of the hostel was also really convenient, making it easy for me to explore the city.

There were a few things that could have been improved. The AC in the rooms was a bit unreliable, sometimes not being turned on.

Lovely private room, working AC and fan, delicious breakfast, helpful and professional staff, convenient services like motorbike rental and slow boat journey organization, great location near night market and Royal Palace.

Had an excellent 3-night stay over Christmas! The staff was amazing, always helpful and attentive. They even gave us a discount when helping us book our bus to the next destination. The cooking and cleaning staff were polite, and the breakfast options were plentiful. The hostel had plenty of showers and toilets, so there was never a need to wait. The non-smoking lobby was a big plus, and they had a rooftop area for hang-drying clothes. The beds were comfortable, with secure lock boxes. And the 24-hour free coffee/tea/hot water was so convenient.

There were a few minor downsides. The wifi signal in the dorm room was weak at times.
